Helpful answers about Q Posket
What is a Q Posket?
A small chibi-style figurine by Banpresto, pronounced “Q-pos-kit.” They were all the rage in Japan and China for years and have finally come to US shores. The standard line features a 4–6 inch figure made in either the A or B version of the character (many people collect both) — one version has a more vibrant paint job while the other is done in subdued tones. The “petite” Q Poskets are a little smaller, at 3–4 inches. Typically made in PVC with a base plate for standing or posing, they make excellent display pieces at an affordable price — and the box art sets them apart from any other vinyl figurine in this price range.
Does Keenga Toys sell the US version of Q Posket?
Yes. Our Q Poskets are authorized for US distribution — licensed in the US, with box safety features and descriptions written in English rather than Japanese or Mandarin.
How do I know if it is the A or B version?
Check the product description — we label every one. We carry both, and it can be hard to tell them apart (we are aware some competitors post them with incorrect information). Depending on the product line you will see “A or B,” “1 or 2,” or “Dark and Light” labels — we wish they would clean that up too. Dark, A, and 1 are synonymous: bright, vibrant colors. The B, 2, and Light versions are more subdued and don’t take over the whole display line. Collectors can and do buy both.
Does Keenga Toys let me pre-order Q Posket figures?
We post “in-bound” stock once we’ve confirmed the item is accurate. We typically do not post future pre-orders on the Q Posket line, because US licensing is subject to the license holder’s approval and we don’t want to post an image “subject to change.” The US market has different sensitivities to how certain figures are drawn, and these products are intended for sale here rather than overseas. In general, the US version is more family-friendly on certain characters than the overseas versions of the lines.
Do Q Poskets make a good gift?
Absolutely! Keep in mind the recommended age in the US is 14 and up — that said, as long as the child is past the age of “taste testing” pieces, the figurines are safe to enjoy. If you love Disney Princesses or know someone who does, this line is for you. Great for both in-box collectors and anyone who wants one on display in a bedroom, office, or home office.
