Transformers: Collector & Gift FAQ
Which Transformers series do you carry?
We carry large quantities of both the Studio Series (which replicates the movies) and the Earthrise / War for Cybertron series. These are the primary "big fan" items for those who really enjoy Transformers, though both are still designed for ages 8 and up. We also carry some Power of the Primes as well as Robots in Disguise—which we typically stock near the holiday season, when more parents are shopping online for their kids.
What's the difference between the Transformers classes?
Hasbro issues Transformers in classes that give you a general idea of each figure's size and cost. Names vary a bit between product lines, but here's a good general guide:
Core Class — the smallest Transformer, usually 2.5 inches and under $10.
Scout Class — about 3–4 inches, running roughly $8–15.
Warrior Class — typically 4–5 inches in the popular cartoon, kid-friendly style, $10–20.
Deluxe Class — the most popular class at Keenga Toys: a 5.5–6 inch figure in the low $20s, depending on popularity and release wave.
Voyager Class — a 6–7.5 inch class ranging from $25–35.
Leader Class — the top line, released in waves: 8–12 inch Transformers running $45–80 depending on the line. This one's for serious fanatics—and it's also usually the "big gift" at Christmas that kids love.
Titan / Omega Class — huge Transformer sets, usually one very large figure with several smaller companions, running north of $100 and up to $400 depending on the version.
What is the Transformers Studio Series?
These are Transformers specifically designed to replicate the CGI versions of the movie characters exactly as they appeared on screen. They boast high-resolution detail and come in packaging that opens up to provide a display backdrop for that particular Transformer.
