Helpful answers about our Dinosaurs
What dinosaur figures do you carry?
Schleich’s dinosaur collection, plus a build-it-yourself surprise. The current lineup features Schleich’s authentically detailed figures — the blue Tyrannosaurus Rex, the crested Dilophosaurus (one of the first large carnivores, roaming 200 million years ago), and the sail-backed Dimetrodon — alongside the Bandai Jurassic World Spinosaurus Plannosaurus model kit. The shelf is growing, so check back as new species arrive.
What is a Plannosaurus model kit?
A dinosaur you assemble yourself. Bandai’s Plannosaurus series (from the makers of Gunpla) lets you build the dinosaur with your own hands, examining its body structure piece by piece as you go — part figure, part anatomy lesson. A great pick for builders, Jurassic Park fans, and STEM-minded kids.
Is the Dimetrodon actually a dinosaur?
Technically, no — and that’s what makes it a great conversation piece. The sail-backed Dimetrodon lived roughly 50 million years before the first dinosaurs and is actually more closely related to mammals. It earns its spot in every prehistoric lineup anyway — and now you have the trivia to go with it.
Are these figures for play or display?
Both. Schleich figures are famously sturdy — authentically detailed enough for a shelf or classroom diorama, tough enough for hours of imaginative play. The Bandai model kit leans collector and builder, with a display base for posing the finished beast.
