The FIFA World Cup 2026 is in full swing right here in the USA, and I could not be more excited! The USMNT has already punched their ticket to the knockout rounds - and I had to update my shelf to match. Whether you are Team USA, cheering for France, or just love the beautiful game, this is peak Kiddult season. Here are my picks, now with some exciting new arrivals. ⚽
⚽ The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Mascot Pops - And the Story Behind Them
I want to take a minute here, because these two Pops have a story I love telling.
For 2026, FIFA did something they had never done before - they gave each of the three co-host countries its own official mascot. One animal, one identity, one nation. The United States chose the bald eagle, America's national bird and emblem since 1782. FIFA named him Clutch - because in American sports culture, being clutch means rising to the moment when the pressure is highest. He plays midfielder and is described as optimistic, curious, and the teammate who brings the whole squad together. That is a lot of character for one eagle.
Canada chose the moose and named him Maple - a nod to the maple leaf at the heart of Canadian identity. Maple's story is about a creative, music-loving goalkeeper who journeyed through every Canadian province and territory, connecting with people and finding purpose through resilience and individuality. That softness and toughness in one character feels very Canadian to me.
Funko, as an official FIFA licensee, saw this historic first and did exactly what Funko does best - they made them Pops. Officially licensed, each shipping with a Pop Protector. Clutch (#84) and Maple (#82) are both here at Keenga now. These are event collectibles from a once-in-a-generation tournament, and I believe in grabbing the pieces that belong to moments like this.
